Dr Yunus of Grameen and microcredit and Nobel peace 2006 is setting cities and citiens around the world an interesting challenge. If he is passing through your city would you be able to find 1000 people who all wanted to collaborate with each other as well as him in empowering a good global world instead of the bad one currently compoundingSynonyms for good are win-win-win, sustainable, empowering every community up, one where hi-trust people transparently win over low-trustSo 2 questions:if Yunus was passing through Africa cities, which do you think would produce the most collaborative impactsif you are a twin national

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2516276605 - eg living in a rich city but with family roots back in Africa - how ready is your big rich city to represent Africa interests when Yunus hosts his Forum 1000 there. My friends are particularly working on London and New York as 2 test cities; partly because a London University student spent the summer interning in Dhaka on this project. One intercity collaboration idea is collaboration cafe - see those we have already hosted and tell us at info@worldcitizen.tv if you want to replay one in your city or virtually http://worldcitizen.tv/_wsn/page4.html

Another collaboration idea is can we produce a good global idea to heroes, their projects and networks for humanity. Why do people all over the world know the top 10 sporstmen for 50 different sports but not top 10s for different vital issues of human sustainability? http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5475184122

But the best truth about collaboration knowledge cities http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%2Bknowledge+%2Bcollaboration+%2Bcity&btnG=Google+Search in the 5 years that I have been searching the peoples and communities that weave them is that if any city does a great job in turning round a beter Global with Yunus we can all learn from what it did and work out how to invite the 1000 most relevant citizens when Yunus passes your way. http://grameen.tv/

we believe this to be true from 2 generations of my Scottish family having interviewed more entrepreneurs from 1950 than anyone else; my father trilogy of entrepreneurial revolution surveys in The Economist 1976 to 1984 http://www.normanmacrae.com/intrapreneur.html ; the origin of the terms entrepreneur and economics as coined by Scot Adam Smith or his alumni since the late 1700s. It is relevant with any construct that turns out to be very valuable to study to go back to its origin because most of these words have in recent years been turned top-down by vested interests
the origin of entrepreneur was rooted in the questions : as new industrial or other markets emerge which will compound wealth and health by connecting sustainability interests of societies, people who commit their lifetune learning and service to the industry and those who supply capital and other long-term investment? - many may assume this is what economics as mapping systems of productive and demanding relastionships is also intended to transparently track - indeed it was Adam Smith's motivation in the late 1700s; it was the motivation for Scot James Wilson to found The Economist in 1843 as well as to get rid of about 90% of MPs who by that time were representing the vested interests of the empires greediest including slavetraders and the those who passed the corn law monipoly which soon caused starvation of tens of thousands of Irish and a century latter terror waves between Ireland and Uk
so noticeably, the origin of entrepreneur was syetmic and integrated society whereas if I look in the 3rd grade book on social studies that my 9 year old daughter is expected to cram her brain with in the US catholic edu system as reigns today, the exact opposite definition of entrepreneur as risking his money to make more money is brainwashed
for this reasons americans networking around Bill Drayton coined the term socila entrepreneur circa 1978 and since that time Bill at www.ashoka.org has invested in about 2000 develeoping country social entrepreneurs as well as inspired the recent networks of social entrepreneurs sponsored partly by the billionnaire Skoll (first president of ebay) on West Coast, partly by the conversion of the convenor of the world economic forum in Switzerland and elsewhere
It is worth noting that if you are not american, you can simply go back to the original word entrepreneur and draw up good and badwilled branches, of which social entrpreneur is one primary goodwilled branch
context is everything to all systemic entrepreneurs and it is worth having a crisis branch for every compass that could lose huiman sustainability- climate and learning are 2 of the 7 compasses that have concerned ny father and I most since out 1984 death of distance future history on : will networks sustain or end future generations http://www.normanmacrae.com/netfuture.html http://futurehistorian.tv
the first london to world travel guide to learning entrepreneurs is being co-edited out of London by Sofia and on climate photosynthesis innpvations as the only way to integrate clean energy, water, soils, and air by Rick Nelson whose photosythesis open space will be available foir use on London 's South bank outside the National theatre from March for as long as popular demand merits. Given that the UK is committing 18 billion of HM treasury and Branson money to climate crisis, we true entrepreneur networkers may well hope that is unitil or beyond Londons olympics in 2012
I try and keep track of all the crisis and goodwill networks , a research projevct which took on new networking speed when I presented Deceneber 2004 a white paper entitled the coming war between goodwill and badwill networks to the annual congress of www.globalreconciliationnetwork.org which a year earlier had convened its annual meeting at http://www.collapsingworld.org where www.eginitiative.org leader and former Irish preseident Mary Robinson was keynote speaker
happy to try and put anyone on the crisis entrepreneur map of most conern to them
